Heat and cold, activation and relaxation – the power of the sauna is based on these striking contrasts. When harmoniously tuned, the sauna invigorates the body and sharpens the senses. Treat yourself to some me-time – enjoy a professional aromatic sauna experience (known as Aufgüsse), a relaxing steam bath or the freezing cold snow room. Unwind in the beautifully designed and spacious surroundings while taking in the charming views of the River Limmat. You have the choice to relax in areas where swimwear is mandatory, optional or in our exclusive ladies-only zones. Everything is included in the entrance price:

Frequently asked questions

  • What do I need to consider before taking a sauna?

    Before taking a sauna, wash yourself with soap and dry yourself thoroughly. Do not have a sauna on an empty or a full stomach. If your feet are cold, it’s a good idea to have a warm foot bath beforehand to promote circulation.

  • How much time should I spend in the sauna area?

    Simply take as much time as you need. Two hours is the ideal amount to spend in the sauna area for the experience to fully work its magic. During this time, two to three sauna sessions of 8 to 15 minutes each are ideal. Additional sessions do not enhance the health benefits. Take a break of at least 10 to 15 minutes between each sauna session.

  • What’s the proper etiquette for the sauna?

    It is best to lie flat in the sauna so that your entire body is in one temperature zone. About two minutes before the end of the sauna session, you should sit up to avoid overburdening your circulation when you stand up. We ask you to enjoy the aromatic sauna sessions sitting down. For hygiene reasons, please place a towel on the areas where you sit or lie down underneath your body and feet. If you feel unwell during the sauna session, we advise you to leave the cabin immediately.

  • What should I do after the sauna?

    To ensure lasting health benefits, finish each sauna session with an icy cold shower, starting from your arms and legs and moving toward the centre of your body. Experienced sauna-goers also cool off in the plunge pool or snow room. Fresh air is especially good after a sauna session. However, as soon as you start shivering, it’s essential to go back into the warm or wrap yourself up (in a bathrobe, for example). To compensate for lost fluids, it’s best to drink water or tea at one of our drinking stations after your sauna session.

  • Are children allowed in the sauna?

    Children are permitted to enter the sauna from the age of 12 if they are accompanied by an adult. Admission to the swimwear-optional sauna is only permitted from the age of 18.

  • Is there anything else I should be aware of?

    The sauna is a quiet zone. Your fellow wellness guests appreciate a tranquil sauna experience, so please enjoy this time in a tranquil manner. The aromatic saunas are carried out by our trained colleagues. We kindly ask you not to enter the sauna cabin when the infusion process is being carried out.
