1. Purpose of the House Rules

• The House Rules are designed to ensure safety, order and cleanliness throughout the premises and to guarantee guests’ peace and relaxation.
• By entering the FORTYSEVEN Wellness Spa, guests agree to comply with the provisions of the House Rules and with all other instructions issued to maintain operational safety.
• Staff are authorised to ask guests who behave in an inappropriate manner or breach the house rules to leave the spa immediately and, if necessary, to ban them from the premises. Any admission ticket purchased will cease to be valid and will not be refunded.

2. Opening Hours, Admission and Safety

• Bathing and sauna sessions end 30 minutes before the spa closes. The last admission to the spa is 60 minutes before closing time.

• Children are defined as guests up to and including the age of 15; the standard rate applies from the age of 16. Persons under the age of 18 are only admitted when accompanied by an adult. Children under the age of 3 are not permitted entry. Children may only access the Kosmos area when accompanied by an adult. Use of the clothed sauna is permitted from the age of 12, although children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. The nude sauna is accessible from the age of 18.

• All guests must be in possession of a valid wristband with a chip. The wristband must be worn on the body throughout the entire stay. Any loss must be reported immediately to a member of staff. If the wristband cannot be found, a fee of CHF 250 will be charged.
• If a guest is unable to pay at check-out, they must sign a binding acknowledgment agreeing to receive an invoice at a later date. The invoiced amount must be transferred to the FORTYSEVEN AG account within one day.
• For security reasons, parts of the facility are monitored by video surveillance.
• Guests must refrain from anything that violates accepted standards of conduct or interferes with safety, peace and order. They must behave in such a way that no other person is harmed, endangered, unnecessarily obstructed or disturbed. Any exchange of affection beyond a kiss should be reserved for the privacy of your own home.
• In the bathing area, the use of mobile phones/smartphones, tablets and other small devices with camera functions is permitted, but only to the extent that other guests are not disturbed. In particular, devices should be set to silent mode and phone calls should not be made. Mobile phones/smartphones, tablets and other small devices may not be brought into or used in the sauna areas.
• Photography and filming for commercial purposes or for the media require prior approval from management.

3. Bathing Guests

• The use of the FORTYSEVEN Wellness Thermal Spa is generally open to everyone. Excluded are persons with contagious diseases, persons wearing diapers, and persons under the influence of intoxicating substances. If a guest poses a danger or threat to others due to excessive alcohol or drug consumption, they will be asked to leave the facility.

• Non-swimmers may only visit the thermal spa when accompanied by a responsible supervising person.

• Persons with health impairments and persons with intellectual disabilities may only enter and stay at the facility when accompanied by an authorized supervising person. The accompanying person assumes full responsibility for the person under their supervision.

• Persons suffering from cardiovascular conditions and pregnant women should consult their doctor regarding the appropriate duration of bathing/sauna use. In the case of open wounds or contagious diseases, bathing and sauna use must be avoided.

4. Swimwear

• Guests may only stay in the thermal spa while wearing appropriate swimwear. Swimwear should comply with generally accepted standards of decency and morality and should be colourfast. For hygienic reasons, wearing underwear underneath swim shorts is prohibited.

• For hygienic and safety reasons, wearing bathing shoes in all wet areas is recommended. Bathing shoes should be non-slip. Swimwear and flip-flops are available for purchase at the FORTYSEVEN Shop.

5. Use of the Bathing Facilities

• The facilities must be treated with care. Anyone responsible for causing damage or contamination shall be liable and is required to pay compensation. In the event of contamination, a cleaning fee will be charged and must be paid directly at the checkout. Any damage to or contamination of the facilities should be reported to a member of staff immediately.

• In the event of a thunderstorm, all outdoor facilities must be vacated immediately. The Limmat Sauna is not affected, provided that guests remain indoors.

6. General Rules of Conduct

• Barefoot areas such as the bathing areas, saunas, shower rooms, etc. may not be entered wearing street shoes or outdoor clothing.

• For hygienic reasons, it is recommended to use a suitable covering on loungers and seating areas (for example, a bathing or sauna towel).

• The use of soap, brushes and other cleaning products is only permitted in the main showers between the changing rooms and the bathing area, as well as in the main showers in the sauna areas.

• Shaving, cutting nails, brushing teeth and dyeing hair are not permitted.

• For the safety of all guests, bringing glass bottles and glass containers into the entire bathing and sauna area is prohibited.

• The consumption of food and beverages brought from outside is not permitted anywhere in the wellness thermal spa. Eating and drinking is only permitted in the Bath Bistro and the restaurant, as well as on the sunbathing lawn during the summer. Bringing and having picnics is expressly prohibited.

• Spitting on the floor or into the pool water, consuming snus or chewing gum is not permitted.

• Sexual harassment, for example through suggestive gestures, remarks or physical advances, is strictly prohibited. In the event of non-compliance, a ban from the premises may be imposed.

• For hygienic reasons, animals may not be brought inside the thermal spa.

6.1 Special Rules of Conduct in the Bathing Area

• The thermal bathing hall may only be entered after showering. Guests with long hair should tie it back.
• Loungers may not be reserved by leaving towels, bags or similar personal belongings on them for longer than necessary while bathing. Staff are instructed to clear such reserved spaces and place the personal belongings on the shelves in the thermal bathing hall. This does not apply to private loungers in the garden, which can be reserved for a fee via the thermal spa's website or at reception.
• The use of snorkels, diving equipment, underwater cameras (including smartphones) and water toys such as (water) balls, kickboards, etc. is not permitted. Pool noodles are only permitted when used as swimming aids.
• The FORTYSEVEN Wellness Thermal Spa is a place of peace and relaxation. Guests are therefore not permitted to disturb others by splashing, pushing people into the pools, jumping into the pools, making excessive noise or running around.
• Private swimming instructors are not permitted to provide swimming lessons on a commercial basis at the thermal spa.

6.2 Special Rules of Conduct in the Sauna Areas

• The saunas may only be entered after showering. It is recommended to apply oil or cream to the skin only after using the sauna.
• All textile-free saunas and steam baths are clearly marked. When passing through other areas and rooms, guests must wear a bathrobe or cover themselves with a sauna towel.
• For hygienic reasons, a large towel must be used as a full-body covering in the saunas (no sweat on the wood).
• Sauna infusions may only be performed by trained thermal spa staff. During an infusion, guests should avoid entering the sauna cabins whenever possible.
• Loungers may not be reserved by leaving towels, bags or similar personal belongings on them for longer than necessary for sauna sessions. Staff are instructed to clear such reserved spaces and place personal belongings at the Concierge Desk.
• Guests suffering from cardiovascular conditions should consult their doctor before using the sauna.
• To compensate for fluid loss, it is recommended to drink water or tea at the beverage station after using the sauna.
• The sauna areas are places of relaxation. Guests are asked to behave quietly for the well-being of all guests.

9. Lost Property

• Guests are asked to hand any found items over to a member of staff. The FORTYSEVEN Wellness Thermal Spa handles lost property in accordance with the applicable legal provisions.

• Lost property is kept for the current month and the following month and is then donated to charitable organizations. Valuables are kept for a maximum of one month and are handed over to the lost property office of the local police station at the end of each month.

• Lost property and valuables must be collected by their owner from the FORTYSEVEN Wellness Thermal Spa.

10. Exceptions

• These house rules apply to general operations. Exceptions may be permitted for special events without requiring the house rules to be formally suspended.
